I live in the US.
I’d like to know if it is cheaper to cook using a coil stove, or a gas stove, that is, does gas cost more or electricity?
Are there any websites that do this cost comparision?

Gas is cheaper v electricity because power plants have to burn something (eg. gas) to generate electricity, then alot of that is lost sending it down the cables, and so it costs more because of the work involved. Gas on the other hand is more raw, and requires less work to provide. This is why in the UK gas central heating is preferable.

gas in most cases is cheaper ( I believe)
remember the newer models have better insulation for heat control
rheostat ( that “uses up” the electricity not directed to the coil)
reason – - by looking at the activity – - turning down the gas is far more accurate – - it is more instant than the coil
I have no experience with the new magnetic induction and the halogen cooking . . .I would like to return wood fired stoves
